What is the Dads Syndicate?

Simply put, it encompasses everything Dads. We love to cut the grass (for reasons we may not tell our wife), hop on the Blackstone, come up with an elaborate scheme to ask our wife if we can play golf this weekend, spending time with our kids and everything in-between.

We share stories, sell simple but “cool” clothing (Cool to Dads), offer resources, and give back to the community.

Our values

For me being a Dad is the thing that I am most proud of. I’ve thought a lot about milestones I have achieved like obtaining multiple Masters Degrees, or finding professional success. Simply put, it does not compare to how proud I am of being a Father.

So what do we value? For the sake of not writing a novel, we value everything that Dads are, and all that they do. From being present in your kids lives, to cleaning bottles, we value all the core principles that come with being a Dad.

My Story

This whole idea stemmed from my career being at a standstill. I have worked in Private Education since 2017 as an Athletic Director, but I noticed things started to plateau in 2023 so I started to look for something different. I decided to go back to school to obtain my MBA, not knowing exactly what field I wanted to work in, I was hopeful that the MBA program at Canisius would shed some light on that. Turns out switching careers is not that easy, and a lot of companies are looking for industry specific experience. After applying to job after job, I came across an application and the last question said “What are you most proud of?” Naturally I tried to think of something professionally that I was proud of. That lasted all of 4 seconds. The thing I am most proud of is being a Dad.

I love watching my son grow, and learn how to do new things, but I also love listening to my buddies tell stories about their kids as well. Stories about how they did something for the first time, or something they did that just made you laugh. I started to think, maybe I can find a way to incorporate this amazing part of my life into my professional career.

The Dads Syndicate is born. We are starting small, not trying to operate outside of our means, but the possibilities are endless.
